...?
ANSWER: The 20B white pails are fine for food contact and many customers use them as you describe. The pails are not made of freezer grade resin. There is a risk of cracking, particularly in repeated use, usually at the lip. We must sell this container to 30 or more dip shops and rarely hear about.
Perhaps a prudent first step would be for us to send you a few samples to try in your application.

...?
ANSWER: Our box liners (the innner and outter faces of the fiber board) are 40% recycled or post consumer fiber. While the inner medium (that part between the the outter and inner face is not).
The true yield of post consumer or recycled fiber board is likely more in the neighborhood of 20 to 25%. But that would be a rather vague guess. Exact numbers could be established with more information.
QUESTION #1426
Is your item PPIA 1204000PPW - the 40 oz straight walled container suitable for packaging food?
...?
ANSWER: Yes, they are made with food grade polypropylene resin. Would you like a sample sent to you? Polypropylene is durable and is often, but not always, thicker in construction than HDPE counterparts. There is also a small gain in durability if the problem persists to using an unpigmented or natural resin. Color pigments can weaken the structure very slightly causing it to be more fragile.
Have you considered other elements such as how you are shipping them? The package you use to ship them? Are the shipping boxes made of a strong enough board to withstand the bumps and jars packages recieve in a small parcel shipping environment?
QUESTION #1424
Are your clear glass jugs or jars tempered glass and/or are they freezer safe?
ANSWER: All the glass bottles and jars we sell at this time are common Type III(soda lime) glass. They are not tempered and will NOT function the same as Pyrex(freezer to oven). Soda-lime glass is primarily used for bottles, jars, drinking glasses, and window glass. Its only real limitation is its inability to handle sudden thermal changes or high temperatures.
Conversely, borosilicate glass is used for cooking plates and other heat-resistant products. It is used for kitchens products and chemistry laboratories because it has greater resistance to heat and thermal shock.
