Closed Top Steel Pails
The term closed head, closed top or tite head refers to the top of the pail being fixed and only accessible through an opening which is typically 2” or 3/4” in Dia. (some styles have both size openings). Sizes range from 1 to 7 gallons and are available lined or unlined.Our lined closed head pails are stocked in epoxy-phenolic blend linings and straight phenolic linings.
Open Top Steel Pails
The term open head or open top refers to the top of the pail being completely open. The cover of the pail is secured to the pail body with a ring that has a nut and bolt or lever-lock mechanism. Some cover styles have lugs which are crimped down around the sides of the pail thus elimating the need for a separate ring type closure. Sizes range from 2 to 6.5 gallons and are available lined or unlined.Our lined open head pails are stocked in epoxy-phenolic blend linings and straight phenolic linings.
