Composite Steel Pails: polyethylene lined steel pails
Often these steel pails are referred to as polyethylene lined pails or plastic lined pails. There is a small distinction between a lining and a liner. A lining is typically a coating that is sprayed on, while a liner is a something that exist seperate from the shell of the container. These are steel pails with a closed polyethylene liner. By closed we mean that the liner completely covers the metal portion of the steel pail inside and at the opening as a single piece. This is a closed loop. Some liners only cover the internal body of the container or come in to pieces.
What is the difference between combination and composite packaging?
You may have noticed that we refer to these as composite steel pails instead of combination steel pails. The reason is subtle but important. Combination packages can be broken down into their constituent parts without damage to the effectiveness of the package, while composite steel pails like those show above are typically not usable after being disassembled.
