Packing Group 1 Steel Pails

Often these are referred to a polyethylene lined pails or plastic lined steel pails. More accurately they are combination packages consisting of a HDPE (high density polyethylene bottles) inside a heavy duty steel pail. This combination package is suitable for the transport of hazardous material consistent with the UN rating on the package.

Combination Packaging vs. Composite Packaging

There is a small distinction in packaging that exists between combination packaging and composite packaging. Combination packaging is a collection of various pieces that can be assembled and disassembled and still maintain usefulness. Composite packages are typically destroyed in the process or disassembling them.
