Please note that the shipment of your order may be delayed by several days while our credit department waits for responses from your creditors. Some of your creditors will respond faster than others.

Customer Responsibility:

It is the customer's responsibility to determine the suitability of a package for their intended use. Among the concerns are compatibility of the package and product, compliance with regulations for shipping hazardous materials where relevant, and durability throughout your distribution cycle. Packages that ship well palletized on trucks, may not be adequate when shipped loose via UPS, FedEx, etc.

Samples:

It is important that you, the customer, and we, the vendor, be happy with the outcome of each transaction. In an effort to this outcome, we offer samples for your evaluation. Many of these samples, but not all, are supplied at no cost to you. Time taken to be sure is time well spent.

Packing Charges:

Our prices are generally based on shipping the items as received from the manufacturer. Some items require special packing for shipment via the "small parcel" environment, glass and the larger tinplate cans are two examples. At our discretion, we charge $3.00/"UPS pack", as needed. Glass items are only sold in full case quantities. We will break cases of most plastic and metal items for a charge of $5.00/broken case.

Minimum:

We have a $100 order minimum exclusive of freight and packing charges. Orders below that level will be accepted with a $25.00 processing charge.

Shipping Costs:

We operate our own trucks and deliver orders of sufficient size within approximately 100 miles of North Haven, CT. Other orders are shipped FOB North Haven, CT or, if large enough, FOB the manufacturing plant. Transportation costs for empty containers can be quite significant. UPS shipments are normally charged at the standard ground shipment rates. Common carrier shipments made prepaid from the shipping location incur a 15% surcharge on the freight cost. Expedited service shipments are generally made on the customer's freight account or we add the 15% surcharge.

As an example of the escalating cost of freight with distance, consider the following:

A 70 lb. package shipped in UPS Zone 2 (closest to Yankee) via standard commercial ground service currently costs $11.01. The same package shipped to California costs $35.57. Next Day Air shipment to California would cost $194.50

Returns & Credits:

Packages defective in manufacture will be replaced or your money refunded. We may ask for samples of the problem to be returned to us. Returns for any other reason will be considered on a case by case basis. No return for credit will be accepted without prior approval.
