Here you can see the opening on our 55 gallon blue tight head plastic drum / barrel. The 2 inch buttress plug (drum bung) is removed to reveal the course heavy duty threads. Most of our 55 gallon plastic drums come with two openings – one buttress plug (course threads) and one NPS plug (fine threads). Both have 3/4″ center reducers.
