Open Head UN Steel Drums

Our open head  UN steel drums are available in both 30 and 55 gallon sizes.  Open head drums have covers that can removed from the body of the drum.  Generally the covers are held on with a bolt ring.  Our 30 gallon drum has a 1 coat buff epoxy phenolic lining and a UN rating of UN1A2/Y300/S.  Our MSD5-24-01 – 55 gallon drum has a .8 mil red phenolic lining and a polyethylene insert. This drum has a  UN rating of UN1A2/Y1.5/100.  More information on the benefits of using a lined drum with a PE insert can be found in this article.  Our last drum – GCC55FRC-HU-BC – is an unlined drum with a dual UN rating.  UN1A2/X422/S for solids and UN1A2/Y1.5/100 for liquids.  Please note that as always, product compatibility is the responsibility of the shipper.

55 Gallon Black/White Steel Round 1.3/1.1/1.1mm Steel Unlined Item: SDO0055GC2U003 UN Rating: 1A2/X422/S & 1A2/Y1.5/100 Opening: Open Head Pack: 1 This is a black open head drum with a white cover. 55 Gallon Steel Round PE Insert Item: SDO0055MA2L003 UN Rating: UN1A2/Y1.5/100 Opening: Pack: 1 This drum has an .8 Mil Red Phenolic lining coating the drum and it also has a smooth wall polyethylene insert and cover disk.
