What is a Steel Pail Dish Cover?

From time to time we get the question “what is a steel pail dish cover”?  Other times we are asked to explain the difference between a dish cover and a lug cover.  A lug cover has steel tabs which must be crimped onto the pail with a crimping tool.  Many of our larger customers use lug covers frequently and they own their own crimping tools.  However, since these tools can be expensive, our smaller customers prefer to use a dish cover and a lever locking ring.  The dish cover is a gasketed cover that fits onto the steel pail (shown in pictures below).  With this type of cover you will need a lever locking ring to secure the cover to the pail body.
